  For obvious reasons, I cannot share my name publicly. But I cannot say enough about an attorney who has done so much to save my career and my sanity in the process. The lawyer grievance process is grueling. For me, and I'm sure for any lawyer, it is a living nightmare. As a lawyer, I first thought I could handle this myself, writing to the Commission on my own and probably doing myself more harm than good. I'm living proof that lawyers do need lawyers. Once I figured that out, I had a true partner in this hellish process. Without Irwin Kramer's guidance, I'm not sure I could have made it through this punishing process. At times, Mr. Kramer reassured me and encouraged me to focus on my clients while he focused on Bar Counsel's investigation. At other times, he played the role of the stern football coach, prompting me into action when I began to let things slide. Somehow, he knew what I needed to get through this dark chapter. If you get a letter from the Commission, don't panic. But, by all means, don't respond on your own. Call Mr. Kramer and let him take the reigns of a process that he knows all too well. Whatever the outcome, he can help you through it and champion your cause.
